The cutest little oval tube shaped rattan bag for those who want something unique. Its elongated thin design make it a comfortable bag to carry around. The Ubud is an oval tubed shape rattan bag, with a leather buckle and strap. Each bag is lined with a unique piece of traditional Batik fabric.

Did you know it takes ONE MONTH to make one rattan bag?! That's because each of our Bali Bags is handcrafted from start to finish by local artisans in Bali. We work directly with a small family who has been hand-making them for generations. Every bag purchased directly supports them and their families!

Craftsmanship

◖Made from Ata grass- a vine native to the volcanic foothills on the island of Bali.
◖First, the stems are braided to create unique patterns, then dried in the sun for several days.
◖After drying, the rattan bags are toasted over coconuts, which strengthens the rattan and gives them their beautiful golden color.
◖Finally, the leather strap and buckle are attached, and traditional Balinese Batik fabric is sewn to the interior.

◖Unlike other mass-produced, rattan-style bags, we guarantee that ours are 100% Authentic, Handcrafted Bali Bags.
◖The temporary TOASTY AROMA (from being toasted over the coconuts) is the signature sign of a GENUINE BALI BAG. While many customers love the unique smell and the story behind it, others find it intense. But don't worry! In either case, the aroma is not permanent and will fade over time.
◖Due to being handmade, no two bags are identical. There can be slight differences in the size and coloring of each bag.
